And we are back here again…well, Hello Monday! This weekend was an odd one, to say the least. With so much negativity breeding around, it is bound to touch you in some way or other. I want to share with you everything that is bothering me right now, but for now, I will tell you when someone discriminates based on color, gender or country of origin – it riles me in way unlike any and it is something that I will stand up and fight for !

On a much lighter and diplomatic note, the weather has been beautiful last few days. Saturday was mid 50s and we stepped out and took a nice long walk in the town center. People were on bikes, running, driving with the convertible top down – it almost felt like spring =)) We also caught a Bruins game ( our first time in the stadium ! ) and it was such a fun experience.

Today’s look is actually inspired by a reader’s email that I received asking for ideas for work winter outfits aside from the shirt+sweater+jeans/trousers combo. I love wearing skirts all year round and the winters are no exception. I got these cashmere tights a few years ago and pair them with skirts on particularly cold days. ( and sometimes even under my jeans – hah! ) A plaid skirt with a cozy sweater is a perfect combination of preppy and professional.

Understandably, dressing up when its cold outside can be very uninspiring. A few key accessories such a chic bag can be great at transforming a boring outfit. I love this one from Floto – the color is gorgeous and it has quite a few compartments for all the work related paraphernalia , including one for a laptop! I also love the semi gloss finish of the bag that keeps it from staining and the high quality leather makes it lightweight – huge bonus!

This week I have a lot going on plus the mister’s ACL reconstruction surgery is scheduled for this week as well. It is going to be a crazy week for sure! Whatever you have going – hope it is a great one!  xo Neha
