Gender Reveal !!!

Girl or Boy? I am so excited to finally share this with all of you.

So many of you have been asking and making guesses. I always wonder how people can guess it so accurately with so much confidence and sometimes it has been so funny when a close friend or relative confidently has made the incorrect guess. We just smile and have been responding with a stay tuned =))

Here’s how we found out! We had the envelope for over two weeks but wanted to find out the gender of our baby encircled in the presence of our loved ones. How do we make that happen, considering, both our families are in India and Amit’s siblings in different parts of the world? The answer – google hangout! Talk about a digital celebration =)) Let me tell you, it wasn’t easy resisting to open the envelope ourselves in the weeks leading up to the gathering of friends and family!

Here in Boston, we invited some of our closest friends, who by the way had no clue until that time that we were even expecting. In lieu of celebrating Amit’s recovery from a recent soccer related injury, I sent out invites for a celebratory brunch. My husband and I are known to make these little funny videos on everyday moments – like husband-wife humorous banter, mimicking popular movie dialogues, etc. and I gathered everyone around the TV telling them it was another one of those creations. Turns out – it was a video revealing that were “growing” =)) As expected, the video has not been watched in its entirety by anyone, after the part the announcement goes up. haha!

For the opening of the envelope, we had 4 families join us virtually from different parts of the world and with the four screens up on TV and surrounded by our closest friends, amidst screaming of guesses – we opened “the envelope”. I blushed, he hugged me and we popped the PINK confetti !!
