Zoe's Nursery Reveal + an AMAZING GIVEAWAY

I am SO … SO … SO! excited to reveal Zoe’s nursery. This is my favorite room in the house for obvious reasons… oh how much I love spending time in this room!  See the full reveal, all details, story behind every detail and … a HUGE GIVEAWAY at the end of the post.

When we found out that we were having a girl, I knew I wanted a room with dreamy, playful and girly elements. Surprisingly, Amit was all in for the pink. Yes, we are those parents who will be going overboard with pink with their girl ( atleast till we can – hah! )

There were two things that I definitely wanted in the room – a chandelier and a wallpaper. My friends at LampsPlus always carry the most beautiful light elements and I instantly fell in love with this princess chandelier on their website. I loved it so much that I got a table lamp of a similar style to go with it.

We painted the ceiling pink and the walls of the room so as to not have the pink overpower the room. Instead I went in for a wallpaper with pink and gold paradise print which is just the perfect backdrop for the crib. This room in our house gets the most sunlight which makes the gold print in the wallpaper sparkle in the morning. It is seriously so pretty and the delicate, fluffy cloud mobiles are so beautiful floating above the crib.

Note : The bumper, pillows, soft toys and blankets in the crib will not be used when our baby is in the crib.

The most endearing part about the nursery is that Amit and I did most of the stuff ourselves. We put the wallpaper together (which by the way was very easy … this one from Temppaper is a peel and stick kind ).  Amit also made the picture frame moldings on the wall – which lends such an intricate dimension to the wall.

I found this pink unicorn at Land of Nod and it is such a fun and playful toy. As for pink round mirror, I think I’d like to have one in my room as well =))

The changing table with drawers is probably the most functional piece of furniture. It is filled with diapers, wipes, rash cream and everything that we have on a recursive order. All you moms know what I mean! And this glider from Da Vinci Baby is absolutely my favorite thing. I had shared how helpful it was during my pregnancy, especially in the third trimester when sleeping on the bed was getting difficult. And now I use it while nursing and Amit sits with Zoe rocking her to sleep. The crib I picked can be converted into a toddler bed later, so we can also use it when Zoe has outgrown the crib.

I have to share the story behind the pink plush elephant on the dresser. Before we started any work in the room, I asked Amit to get something so that the first thing that we get for our baby and that will adorn her room will be from her Addy. ( story behind the name Addy here … and yes, I give a lot of importance to such little sentimental things =)) )

I hope you love the nursery of our little princess =))  I go in there for no reason at times fold and refold her cute baby dresses, arrange them sometimes by color, sometimes by sizes and sometimes just stand and look at her tiny baby shoes.

And NOW … there’s an AMAZING GIVEAWAY for one of you to create a nursery with the help of some of my very sweet and generous partners. Enter the giveaway below. ( US Residents only ) Good luck – xo Neha
